Well, it was a good run, and I for one was very pleased with Mathieu Carle and his defensive ability. The Montreal Canadiens announced today that Mathieu Carle has been reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs after spending some time in the big leagues.
Carle played just three games with the Canadiens recording no points, but ended it with a +1 defensive differential.
In his final game with the Habbies, Carle recorded just over 18 minutes of time on ice which include a minute and half of time playing on the PK.
A few more years and Carle will be an excellent defensive defenseman. I can easily see Carle and Subban playing a line together sometime in the near future.
