Who do I think is going to have the biggest impact for the Montreal Canadiens in the 2009-2010 season? You guessed it! #67, Max Pacioretty.

6′1″, 203 lb Pacioretty started his first professional hockey season last year with the Hamilton Bulldogs and quickly made an impact with 29 points in 37 games. He was too good for Gainey not to call him up so he finished the season with Montreal Canadiens totaling 11 points in 34 games including 3 goals and 8 assists.

Mark my words. Pacioretty WILL play on the top two lines this season and he WILL have a minimum of 40 points. Max Pacioretty is the real deal and was born to play a power forward role on a top scoring line. That is where I feel he does his best and that is where I feel he showed the most promise last year, but the best thing I like about this kid is his quick feet! He’s a great skater.

During an interview with TSN Pacioretty stated that with the overhaul of the team during this off-season there is plenty of space and roles for him to make an impact in. He can shoot and score, feed the puck well, and throw the body. He’s that young player that every team in the league wish that they had, or at least they will by the end of this season.
