It seems that Sundin may not be heading to Montreal after all, at least according to many different sources in the NHL world. According to these sources Sundin has cut his list down to the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers, and please god don’t let it be New York. Even though they’ll have to cut some salary to get Sundin I board, I don’t think it’s going to be an impact player, but many non-impact players.

J.P. Barry, Sundin’s agent, will be in Vancouver Tuesday to talk about some other contracts including the Sedin’s, so I’m sure that Sundin will come up once or twice. It’s also reported, but unconfirmed, that the Rangers and Canucks could be in trade talks if Sundin determines he wants to play in New York which would free up the cap room for the Rangers and give Vancouver a player they can use.
