Updates on Carey Price and Saku Koivu

TSN IceChips has the latest on these two injured Montreal Canadiens players. Here is the excerpt:
Goaltender Carey Price skated early Monday morning for a few minutes in a track suit, no equipment. Price did not practice Saturday, undergoing his fourth straight day of therapy for a lower body injury. Head coach Guy Carbonneau said [...]

Jean Beliveau Announces All-Star Lineup

The Montreal Canadiens and Jean Beliveau have announced the All-Star lineup consisting of 4 Montreal Canadiens and 2 Pittsburgh Penguins, now if this wasn’t a popularity contest than please tell me otherwise, but I think it’s ridiculous.
The 4 Canadiens players were Alex Kovalev, Mike Komisarek, Andre Markov, and Carey Price. These players will also [...]

VOTE NOW! Really Though, Price Needs In

Price Out Friday; Kyle Chipchura, Max Pacioretty, Yannick Weber and Marc Denis Recalled

Lots of information out of Habs practice today (from Habs InsideOut):
Carey Price will not join the team on their trip to New Jersey for tomorrow night’s game against the Devils. He is listed as day-to-day with  “lower body discomfort” which he felt during warm up in Tuesday night’s game against Tampa but played anyway. Marc [...]

All-Star Voting Ends Tomorrow

You may have read Justin’s post about his hate for the All-Star Game and that he wouldn’t post anything about the voting. While I agree with most of his opinions, especially that this method doesn’t produce the best results, as of this moment, Marc-Andre Fleury is beating Carey Price for the start in goal in [...]

Canadiens squeak by Lightning

It was a close one that had to be decided in a Shootout but the Canadiens pulled a miracle shootout victory with goals from Alex Kovalev and Maxim Lapierre. Jussi Jokinen scored on Carey Price, but Lecavalier and Prospal were denied. Afterwards we saw a bit of superman posing from Price. [video below]
Regulation [...]

Maxim Lapierre’s Hat Trick Gives Canadiens the Win

It just goes to show that it doesn’t matter what line you’re on, if you work hard and go after the puck you will do well, as Maxim Lapierre netted the first Hat Trick of his career including the game winning third Montreal Canadiens goal. This, just two nights after Andrei Kostitsyn had his [...]

Andrei Kostitsyn: 3; Pittsburgh Penguins: 2

A stellar third period performance by one Carey Price gave the Montreal Canadiens the 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins giving Carey Price a 3-0 record against the team. I can’t give this one all to Price as Andrei Kostitsyn recorded his first NHL hattrick his first game back from missing two games with [...]

OT Loss Against Carolina

Robert Lang and Matt D’Agostini notch goals but it just wasn’t enough as the Hurricanes took this match in overtime. Overall it was a very good game, things are starting to click and things can only get better when our injured are back in the lineup, but one thing is for sure; Matt D’Agostini [...]

Price In Net Tonight

Carey Price will make his first start since December 6th. He missed 6 games with a lower body injury/the flu. In his absence, Jaroslav Halak went 3-3-0 with a .915 save percentage and a 2.33 goals against average.
All I can say is, I missed you Carey…I missed you so much.
