Yannick Weber and Tom Pyatt have both been reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Tom Pyatt has played 19 games with the Canadiens this season registering no points and a -9 defensive rating with 6 penalty minutes.

Yannick Weber has played just 3 games with the team this year registering 0 points and a -4 defensive rating.

Andrei Markov has done so well in his treatment that he may be back as early as next week! I don’t even care what I get for Christmas if Andrei Markov comes back. He’s probably the biggest impact for this team when he’s in or out.

Guillaume Latendresse is visiting the Bell Centre for the first time since his trade for Benoit Pouliot but the Canadiens will look to come out swinging after a third straight loss against the New Jersey Devils last night.

Due to Roman Hamrlik’s injury in last nights game, Yannick Weber has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Carey Price will get his second start in a row after the .925 performance he achieved last night. Carey Price has only faced the Minnesota Wild one other time in his career with the Canadiens getting the win and Price only allowing one goal for a .966 save percentage.

The Canadiens are going to need to come out swinging in this one. The Wild have 35 points and are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

Mike Cammalleri has 10 points in 20 games against the Minnesota Wild and 8 points in his last 7 games. Expect at least 1 goal from Cammy tonight.

The Montreal Canadiens have acquired 27 year old T.J. Kemp from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a 7th round conditional draft pick in the 2010 NHL entry draft. Kemp has 9 points in the 22 games he’s played with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and has a +5 defensive rating.

Kemp will be joining the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Frankly, this is a weak move, a career AHL’er is not something that we need at the moment. He should be a good addition to the Bulldogs however.

Loic Lacasse Bob Gainey announced today that Loic Lacasse would be reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. Lacasse was previously with the Bulldogs this year between December 12th and December 26th but did not get any starts. He has played 5 games this year for Cincinnati going 2-1-1 with a 4.10 goals against average and a .847 save percentage.

Lacasse has been moving around quite a bit this season and has yet to see any AHL games, but with a less than impressive 5 games with Cincinnati I doubt he’ll be used much as long as Desjardins is healthy.
