The Montreal Canadiens and Jean Beliveau have announced the All-Star lineup consisting of 4 Montreal Canadiens and 2 Pittsburgh Penguins, now if this wasn’t a popularity contest than please tell me otherwise, but I think it’s ridiculous.
The 4 Canadiens players were Alex Kovalev, Mike Komisarek, Andre Markov, and Carey Price. These players will also [...]

Ok, so I have to admit this post is highly biased because, as the title suggests, Mike Komisarek is my hero. He’s been my favorite player since he broke into the NHL with the Canadiens in the ‘05 - ‘06 season.
He recently did an interview with Dave Stubbs of Habs Inside/Out, I believe, and [...]

Komisarek believes he’ll be cleared Thursday morning and be ready to go when the Montreal Canadiens play Philadelphia at the Bell Centre at 7:00pm EST. I am PUMPED to get Komisarek back, Gorges has played well in his absence but you can’t deny Komisarek brings something to the team that just can’t be replaced. [...]

Saku Koivu will miss at least 2 weeks with a foot or ankle injury suffered in Thursday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning . After the 2 week period he will be reevaluated. Alex Kovalev will wear the “C” in his absence.
Carey Price who is battling the flu also suffered what’s being described as a [...]

Mike Komisarek skated with teammates this morning for the first time since his injury in mid-November which is a very good thing for us. “I don’t think I’ll be back this week but maybe next week. The rest of our defensemen are playing well and that’s allowed me to take my time and make [...]

It took seven games, but it was worth it. The Habs shut down the Bruins tonight with a 5-0 to give the Montreal Canadiens the win in the Eastern Conference Quarter Finals. I don’t even know where to start with the post game thread.
I could talk about Carey Price’s second shutout [...]

The regular season may not be any indication of the playoffs, but I don’t believe it matters when one team can outplay another team like the Canadiens do the Bruins. Opening the game with two goals in less then two and a half minutes by both Kostitsyn brothers, the Habs seem to indicate how [...]

It’s about damn time, my owe me, it feels like it’s been a century since I’ve posted the last Game Day Post. We’re finally here, the first game of the Stanley Cup Playoff Quarter Finals between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins. We’re the heavy favorites to win this series after sweeping the [...]

Heading into Ottawa tonight the Montreal Canadiens look to end their season series against the Sens on a high note, but if the past is any indication it might be a hard fought 60 minutes. The series has been more or less dominated by the skilled play of the Sens with them having won [...]

Mike Komisarek will return to the ice on Monday as he does some on ice training with the rest of the team before they jump on a bus and head to Ottawa for their game against the Sens tomorrow night.
Komisarek has been a huge player on a blueline, both mentally and physically, and many would [...]
